Iowa Recognizes Month of the Military Child

Military-connected youth and families gathered at the Iowa Capitol as Governor Reynolds officially proclaimed April as Month of the Military Child across the state.

The proclamation launched a month of classroom outreach, visibility efforts, and community celebrations coordinated with schools and partners.

Standing together in the Capitol made military children's experiences visible and connected family stories to Iowa's broader readiness mission.
