A Voice Bigger Than One State

July 13, 2026

During two national youth leadership trips, Charlee and other military-connected youth worked together on issues affecting families across the country. At both events, they met directly with military officials to discuss concerns that reached beyond the National Guard and reflected experiences across the military community.

Throughout those conversations, Charlee kept the Guard Teen Panel goal in focus: improve the experiences of military-connected youth and empower them to speak up in their communities, states, regions, and country.

The experience helped shape the leader she is becoming. It showed her that making a difference matters deeply to her, and that a young person's voice can carry far beyond a hometown or home state.
